Hit by a driver while riding your bike?Talk to a bicycle accident lawyer.

Say nothing on record to the insurer. Turn down the first offer.

Call us. Video and witnesses disappear fast.

Why injured cyclists need a lawyer

You had no bumper and no airbag. The driver has an insurance company. Here is what they do, and what we do about it.

What the insurance company will say

“The cyclist came out of nowhere.”
The blame lands on you, especially when the police report is thin.

“Here is a check for the bike.”
A low offer arrives before anyone knows what your recovery will cost.

“Those injuries were pre-existing.”
Symptoms that show up late get blamed on anything but the crash.

What Davis Legal does about it

We prove what happened.
We pull the video, find the witnesses, and measure the scene before any of it is gone.

We price the whole claim.
Bills now and later, lost pay, your bike, your pain. Not just the parts the insurer wants to count.

We document every injury.
We track concussions, whiplash, and back pain from day one, so none of it looks unrelated later.

Bicycle accident injuries we handle

Even a slow-speed crash can change how you live. These are the injuries we see most.

Brain injury and concussion

A helmet lowers the risk. It does not remove it. Brain injury is the heart of Shannon Davis's practice.

Broken bones

Collarbones, wrists, hips, and ribs take the hit when you go over the handlebars.

Spinal and back injuries

Herniated discs, nerve damage, and spinal cord injuries. Some need surgery and years of care.

Road rash and lacerations

Deep scrapes that can lead to infection, scarring, and skin grafts.

Facial and dental injuries

Broken jaws, lost teeth, and eye injuries from face-first impacts.

Hit-and-run and uninsured drivers

Your own car insurance may still pay, even though you were on a bike.

Your path forward starts here

Four steps. You will always know which one you are on.

Free case evaluation

You tell us what happened. We tell you honestly where you stand and what your claim may be worth.

Investigation

We collect the police report, the photos, the video, the witnesses, and your damaged bike.

Claim and negotiation

We add up what the crash cost you and deal with the insurer. You focus on treatment.

Settlement or trial

We push for a full settlement. If the insurer will not pay what your case is worth, we file suit.

What cyclists ask us before they call

What should I do right after a bicycle accident?

  • Call 911 and see a doctor, even if you feel fine.
  • Photograph the vehicle, your bike, your injuries, and the scene.
  • Get the driver's insurance details and the names of any witnesses.
  • Keep your bike, helmet, and clothing exactly as they are.
  • Do not give the insurer a recorded statement before you talk to a lawyer.

Can I still recover if I was partly at fault or not wearing a helmet?

Often, yes. Missouri simply reduces your recovery by your share of the fault. Tennessee and Arkansas cut you off only if you were 50 percent or more at fault. Helmet use can change the argument, so ask before you assume your claim is gone.

How long do I have to file a bicycle accident claim?

The deadline depends on the state. Tennessee generally gives you one year, Arkansas three, and Missouri five. Video and witness memories go much faster than that, so call early.

What if the driver fled the scene or has no insurance?

You may still have a claim. The uninsured motorist coverage on your own car policy, or on a household member's, often applies even though you were on a bike. We check every policy that might pay.

What compensation can an injured cyclist recover?

Medical bills now and later, lost pay, reduced earning power, your bike and gear, and the pain and disruption you live with.

How much does a bicycle accident lawyer cost?

The case evaluation is free. We work on contingency, so there is no fee unless we recover money for you.

Your first call costs nothing. Waiting can cost your case.
